Grief can cause a lot of stress and there is always a lot to do when someone you love dies. On top of that, you may have to go back to work quite soon, or you are already back at work and don’t feel you’ve had time to process your grief.
Does your grief interrupt you all the time, so that you are overwhelmed and can’t get anything done, or are you unable to concentrate, feeling guilt at things you did or did not say, even feelings of anger and blame are common.
Are you hiding your grief with alcohol or food, or hiding in sleep and not going out. You’ve stopped talking about it to others, feeling you are taking up their time or burdening another family member, even though there is still a lot left inside.
Whilst talking is therapeutic, clients have really benefitted from these flexible multi- modalities giving them ways to manage the complex emotions experienced during bereavement. This includes: Hypnotherapy, NLP, Parts Therapy and Mindfulness. This will help them share their grief, yet feel supported and reach a stage where they can enjoy the memories of their loved one without being overcome by the pain of missing them.
I am feeling like a cloud has lifted and having more positive memories of my mum, I’m moving forward even though I still have low days and miss her so much. Thanks anita
AnonI tried counselling before starting therapy with you. I felt it was making me feel worse. Your practical techniques helped a lot more as I had something to do or work at, not just passive stuff.

A.FAnita helped me when I came to her, my relationship with my fiancé was strange and uncomfortable. I wasn’t sure whether it was wedding nerves or something deeper. I worked with Anita and realised how I was trying ‘too hard’ with him. I had lost my confidence and spark. He picked everything, venue, my outfits, my friends. I even let his mum walk all over me. I exited this toxic relationship with absolutely no regret.
